First, use a soft bristled brush to gently brush off any dust or dirt from the surface of your hat. Brush in small, circular motions.

Second, use a lint roller to remove hair, lint or dust from the brim of your Soleil hat.

Third, for a small stain on your wool hat we recommend using a slightly damp white cloth. Do not use the same cloth on multiple hats in order to avoid any color transfer.

** For severe stains we recommend visiting your local hat repair shop for professional deep cleaning.

To keep your hat in its best shape we suggest storing it somewhere on a flat surface to preserve its shape.

We want you to have the best fit for your new Soleil hat, that is why we have created a hat with a size range and adjustable bands on the inside. Please refer to hat measurements below.

small- medium: 55-57 cm

medium- large: 57- 59 cm

To tighten your beautiful new Soleil hat you simply pull back your affirmation sweat band and you will find two separate velcro straps. Pull on the straps until you feel that the hat is tight enough and secured to your head. Reattach the velcro the inner lining of the sweat band. Enjoy your perfect fit ;)

If you cannot wear your Soleil hat directly on your head during travel we suggest using a hat box to ensure your hat is protected from damage.

To fix the shape of your hat we recommend using a garment steamer. Apply steam to the brim of your hat until you feel the hat softening. Simply place the steamed hat on a flat surface and you will be able to mold and reshape your hat to its original stiffness and shape.

After steaming and reshaping please allow your hat to sit overnight in order to hold its shape before wearing it out.

Although Soleil hats are beautifully worn around water, unfortunately they are not waterproof. We recommend avoiding water exposure in order to preserve the quality and shape of your hat.

However, if your hat encounters some water allow to fully dry and steam to reshape.

Yes, YOU CAN! However, we recommend you avoid long hours of sun exposure to maintain the quality and shape of your hat and to prevent color fading, as our hats are made with custom dye and can slightly fade in the sun.
